Founded in the early nineteenth century, George Gibbs of Bristol earned a reputation for innovation in rifle making—a legacy that continues today under the stewardship of Mark Crudgington.
This contemporary rifle has been designed to excel across a wide range of hunting scenarios, from medium-sized quarry to smaller game at extended distances. Built around the modern Kurtz Mauser action, it makes full use of two highly adaptable chamberings: the compact and flexible .308 Winchester and the notably flat-shooting .22-250 Remington.
Supplied with two fully interchangeable barrels, the rifle includes a separate, perfectly matched forend for each, both finished with classic ebony tips. Each configuration looks entirely natural on the rifle, whether fitted or removed.
The British-made Mauser action feeds from a box magazine and delivers the balance and handling qualities expected of a traditional stalking rifle, while benefiting from modern engineering.
A richly figured dark walnut stock completes the package, featuring a cheekpiece, finely executed hand-cut chequering on the grip and forend, a grip cap, and a Silvers recoil pad. Sling attachment points are thoughtfully matched, with a banded front fitting aligned to the barrel.
Presented in near-pristine condition, this elegant Gibbs take-down offers remarkable versatility for hunting throughout Europe or North America. For extended-range shooting, the rifle is accompanied by a Swarovski Z6i optic mounted on quick-detach mounts.
According to its previous and only owner, this gun was built new for him in 2017.
it comes with a hard case and a DPT moderator for each barrel.
