BSA Lincoln-Jeffries “H – The Lincoln” Underlever Air Rifle – Early Example (Serial 880) PLEASE NOTE THE REAR SIGHT BLADE IS MISSING, THANKS. PRICE REDUCED FROM £600.00!!
Early BSA Lincoln-Jeffries “H – The Lincoln” underlever air rifle, serial 880, dating from the early Lincoln-Jeffries patent period (c.1904–1906).
The correct rotating tap loading system (non self-opening), underlever cocking, and thought to be original configuration throughout. The rifle retains its original worn blued finish, with clear, legible markings including “REGISTERED LINCOLN JEFFERIES on the stock” and “H – The Lincoln Air Rifle Patent, Manufactured by BSA Co, Birmingham” to the top of the action.
Importantly, this example remains complete, retaining both original front and rear sights, which are frequently missing on surviving Lincoln-Jeffries rifles. The tap aperture is the earlier, larger form, consistent with early production H-models, and the overall configuration matches known early examples rather than later standardised variants.
Condition is honest and original throughout, showing expected age-related wear but no evidence of re-bluing or heavy refurbishment. A very good candidate for the collector who values originality and correctness over cosmetic restoration.
Early, low-serial Lincoln-Jeffries H-models in original condition are becoming increasingly difficult to find, particularly complete examples with original sights intact.
